About This Site
A focused Permafrost survival reference
Permafrost Wiki organizes practical information for Permafrost, the open-world survival sandbox from SpaceRocket Games and Toplitz Productions. Instead of mixing unrelated search results, we keep the site focused on the frozen world, survival preparation, exploration, shelters, resources, and the systems that shape every expedition.
Permafrost entered Steam Early Access on October 9, 2026. This site tracks the parts players are most likely to need first: a clear game overview, beginner-oriented survival systems, world-zone context, structured entity notes, launch news, and a transparent view of what still needs verification.
Who this site is for
New players can use the guides to understand cold, hunger, exhaustion, shelter networks, scavenging, and preparation before committing to a run. Returning players can use the database to review survival concepts, world zones, characters, and resource groups in a consistent format. Players researching the co-op experience can also find the officially reported four-player online cooperation detail in the game overview and FAQ.
What you will find here
The game hub is the quickest starting point. It collects the game overview, category database, guides, news, codes, tier list, and FAQ in one place. The guides explain the core survival loop: reading environmental danger, preparing for cold, managing food and exhaustion, building shelter networks, and approaching exploration with better context. The database is designed for quick lookup, with entity categories and attributes kept separate from long-form advice. The news feed currently records the confirmed Early Access launch and will continue to track meaningful version changes.
Current coverage
The site now includes source-checked game identity information, three entity categories with twenty structured entries, three public guides, and one launch news item. A separate blueprint-location research note exists as a noindex draft because exact locations are not yet verified. There are no listed active or expired codes: the codes page only publishes codes when a reliable official source makes them clear.
How to use the site
If you are new, start with the game overview, then read the survival systems guide and world-zone guide. If you need quick context, open the database and filter by the category you are researching. If you want launch facts, check the game hub FAQ or the Early Access news item. If a value is missing, treat that as a signal that we have not confirmed it rather than a gap to be guessed.
How information is handled
Official pages come first. The Steam listing and publisher announcement anchor the game identity, release date, platform, and studio information. Gameplay descriptions are checked against available sources before they are published. If a topic depends on exact coordinates, recipes, spawn rates, blueprint locations, or balance values, we do not invent them.
Unfinished research stays out of search indexes until it can be verified. That is why blueprint research is currently marked as a draft: it explains what still needs testing instead of pretending to have a complete location list.
How we handle official artwork
The homepage uses an official Steam screenshot as a visual reference. It is used to identify the game and establish context, not to imply ownership or official participation. Other pages use the same image only as a subdued background layer so gameplay information remains the focus.
Editorial priorities
- Useful first: pages are written for players who need to prepare, survive, and plan their next run.
- Clear uncertainty: reported details are labelled as such, and missing values are not filled in with guesses.
- Readable structure: long topics are split into short sections so mobile readers can find what matters quickly.
- Update discipline: content is revised when official sources or reliable gameplay evidence change.
Codes and rankings
The codes page is intentionally empty until a reliable official source confirms a working Permafrost code. The tier list is a transparent placeholder because there is not yet enough verified evidence for a competitive ranking. We would rather leave a section empty than publish misleading picks.
Updates and corrections
Early Access games change quickly, so updates are handled as evidence changes rather than as automatic rewrites. When official patch notes, publisher announcements, or reliable gameplay documentation add usable information, we revise the relevant guide or database entry. Readers can report outdated details through the contact page.
